Michael Johns - is Dream On inspirational? Also, isn't he a better singer than this? I think he messed up or something. Yeah, Randy is right, it was pitchy. Fucking Kansas. I hate Mario Chalmers - that bitch can DIAF for all I care. Wait, what? What was that about the chihuahua that they just said - I don't get it?
Syesha - Pretty good I guess, but boring or something. I hate "inspirational week". Inspirational would have been if we could have won it all last night and not had that ass make that 3 pointer to tie the game with 2 seconds left. Ugh. Carrie thinks Randy is a hard ass this season, but I mean, it was okay. The judges are weird - like, she needs to not sing Whitney or Fantasia? But she sings that style! I don't get it.
Castro - Sings this version of the song that we actually love. I mean, I prefer Ted's group of course, but still. He is really good, but I didn't like the ending. But yeah, good job dude. Even odds that Archuletta does the Groban shit. Dude - what are the odds we get Dorsey, CDR, or Rose back next season? I got no closure and I am pissed.
Colonel - yeah, I would still hit it. I'll bet she ends up in the bottom 3, then doesn't go home. But still - probably her best performance. She is totally hitting her free throws near the end, unlike a certain runner up squad. But she is teh hawt.
David Cook - what the shit is going on here? Whatever he is doing at the start, he shouldn't do again. Wait - this is terrible! Who is this? This is the biggest piece of crap since Bill Self. Oh no - he is losing his lead in front of our eyes! Holy crap - that was the biggest turd I have seen since I had burritos last Sunday. Oh my. Take him back to the hospital to have teh suck removed.
Irish O'Carlihan - Danny Boy? Nope, it is Queen. I mean, she is probably better than I give her credit for, but whatever. I mean, were the refs gonna call any fouls against Kansas? Carrie says, "She is wearing a leotard with bell-bottomed mom jeans!" Then, she is livid when Simon says she looks good.
David A. - Groban?? Stop making me wait - he is singing "Angles"? What the shit is "Angels"? Are those things that were not on Memphis' side last night? Really, do we have any youtube links to Chalmers' fiery death? Anyone? Yeah, I am tired of Archuletta kinda right now.
Brooke - Sings Carole King Tapestry stuff. She is good and all, but I get this feeling she cries during some MasterCard commercials. But hey - I cried last night, so what do I know. But yeah, Carrie was openly reading a book during the performance. I hope she doesn't talk over the judges - oh crap, she is talking.
Bottom 3 - KLC, Brooke, Syesha. Syesha going home.

MJ- Whatever- that was awesome! Plus, I my chihuahuas would totally like to join him up there as well.
Syesha- The AI coronation songs are "teh suxxors"- don't sing them! I personally thought she started to fall apart at the end, pitch-wise, but pulled it out with the high note. Not my fave.
Castro- That was fine. Good song choice.
KLC- That was her best performance. She wanted last week to be her big country week shining moment, but Dolly's songs are over her head. She was so happy to finally sing Martina! Simon is right- good job with the big hair, sparkly tank top, and Martina. Work your fan base! Like Cook, she'll have a great post-AI career.
Cook- That was his worst performance of the competition, although when he went out to sing by the judges he sounded good. I still think he's the most natural on stage- even when it doesn't sound great, he has a comfort level up there that goes a long way towards making up for it.
Carly- That was awful- sorry. She just can't pick the right song! Simon is right- she sounds angry and this just doesn't fit the theme.
Archuleta- Now is a good time for me to explain something about inspirational week. It's basically "Sing Anything With Glory Notes" week, and just like the eventual coronation song, this theme never flatters my favorite contestants. It makes the likes of Syesha, KLC, and Archuleta sound fantastic, though, because they are built in the classic AI mode. Ugh.
Brooke- I still think she's uber-jealous that Carly was named after Carly Simon. Carole King- perfect for her! But boring.
Carrie- Oh, snap!
When they do the recaps, MJ sounded much better in retrospect, mainly because he sang a cool song and not one of these douchey inspriational numbers. It worked for him, but not Carly.
Ok, i thought MJ was good but not great b/c he didn't have the range.
Syesha - really, you are going to pick a former idol's song to sing for AI? How about going away from songs by black women with lots of high notes, b/c last week was Whitney(for the 2nd time) and now Fantasia.
Castro - ehhh, i like the song, but only b/c of "50 First Dates", and he did some little wierd face and note toward the end that I hated.
KLC - yeah, she sounded good, but she doesn't awe me with her stage presence
Cook - never heard the song before and after that, don't really want to. Not his best performance at all, but he is still the front-runner.
Carly - definitely angry and the only reason Simon liked the outfit was b/c it had lots of cleavage.
David A. - picked a Jessica Simpson song that was already covered by Robbie Williams (or maybe the other way around) and couldn't live up to either version. I was waiting for "Our God is an Awesome God". Big ups to Frank for even making me think of htat song.
Brooke - she's cute, but i still haven't seen a great performance out of her yet. The only one i even remember is the yellow dress and that was b/c it was sooo bad.
KLC, Carly, Brooke bottom 3 with Carly going home even though she shouldn't? It's a tough call this week.
I'd like to point out that last year during the Idol Gives Back week they didn't kick anyone off. Which only adds to my disgust in having to endure KLC another week!

Syesha, that was a ridiculous choice, I feel like kicking her off because of it.
I LOVE Jason Castro's song, love the song, love his singing it, as long as you don't look at the "bird face," it's all good. Jason's growing on me. I like that he and David Cook seem so genuine and non-plussed by positive or negative reaction, they are just going to be themselves and do their best.
KLC with the white jeans. Ugh.

David A., I had a really good laugh thinking about him being totally overwhelmed with all the inspirational choices. I think he wants to be the musical director at Bellvue Baptist.
Brooke, I like her. At the same time, I am kind of looking forward to when they kick her off so I can see her reaction. Because I am a horrible person. That was not the show-closer one hopes for on inspirational night.
Carrie - on Monday night, when I locked myself in the computer room after the game, I almost posted nothing but a string of profanities on the blog, so I was actually showing restraint here.
Also, Cullen - did you really just say that you liked something better because of the movie 50 First Dates?
Kerry reminded me that Chip and I also got a good laugh imagining how overwhelmed Archuleta was by all the choices. Although, isn't inspirational music his personal theme every week?
Also, I know I'm the only one who thinks Castro looks and sounds like John Travolta, but when they interviewed him and I started singing "Stranded at the Drive-In," I think Chip finally got it. I made him laugh, in any case, and that's all that really matters.
I don't watch AI, so I can't agree or disagree to any of the comments related to the show. However, I do hate Mario Chalmers. I can agree with that.
So we can't discuss Idol Gives Back (after taking so, so much)? My DVR cut off the last half hour- WTF? I wanted to see Mariah!
Really though, two highlights:
The opening number- please, everyone, watch So You Think You Can Dance! It's the best reality show on TV! I was so glad to see all the dancers- I love those kids! So do my kids. I spent the rest of the night imploring Connor to please "stop that or you are going to break your neck!" We also all sang that song the rest of the night. Is it wrong that we love Rhianna?
The Brad Pitt video- they showed him and Bill Clinton together. I will have a million fantasies about that threesome over the remainder of my lifetime.
Tonight- will they send someone home? If you need me, I'll be watching 30 Rock and the Office. I just don't have a third night in my week for Idol.
